Looking for an opportunity to grow your skills & connect with a team of other like-minded people?
FReeZA is a free event management program for people aged 15-25 who are looking to contribute to their community by planning & running 5 live music and cultural events throughout the year. As part of the program, you will get practical (and professionally supported) experience organising events (booking performers, promotion, risk management, etc) & staffing them too (initial set up/pack down, door sales, cafe, stage management, etc)!
Through your involvement with FReeZA, you will receive a range of free training (including AV basics from a professional technician, fire warden training, music industry knowledge, etc), practical life skills (email writing, chairing/minute taking, teamwork, planning, etc), as well as the opportunity to volunteer at other Council run initiatives. At the end of your involvement with the program, you will be given a reference letter to use in future job/education applications, as well as ongoing support to get linked in with any pathways you wish to pursue.
