Bassline Productions (Maroondah FReeZA Program)

Ever wanted to learn the skills required to run a live music gig? FReeZA is a free event management and personal development program for young people aged 15-25 that teaches you everything from booking bands, promo skills, setting up/packing down an event, operating AV equipment, working with cash and more! You will be part of the 2019 Bassline Productions crew, meeting weekly to plan and run 5 live music and cultural events throughout the year (including the Maroondah Festival youth space). You will receive free training during your time in FReeZA, and will leave the program with transferable life skills that you can take into any profession.

Events in the past have included:

  • A Nightmare on Mt Dandenong Road (horror short film festival)
  • Push Start Battle of the Band competition
  • Retro Re-Lived (gaming lounge)
  • Cinematic (short film festival)
  • Void of Vision & Brooklyn
  • Neon Dreams Dance Party
  • Metal Fest
  • Open Mic
