Creativity - Zest - Humour

Sam began his studies at Norwood Secondary College in 2016, and immediately ensured his charm and charismatic presence were felt throughout the entire school, particularly with the Music department. In 2016, he secured the role of Lurch in the whole school production of The Adams Family. The following year he took on the zany and lovable role of Patsy in the Monty Python classic Spamalot. He further extended his range in 2018, when he played the droll and conservative Mr Banks in Mary Poppins. In 2019, he took the lead role of Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in the musical murder mystery, Curtains, and demonstrated outstanding comic timing. This year he will be playing Badger in the show The Wind in the Willows. In addition to these roles, Sam has done Voice since Year 7 and has been a member of the College Chorale & A’Cappella ensembles, and has done an outstanding job mentoring junior students. He has sung in events such as the Spring Show, Presentation Night and did a wonderful solo on Jazz night. In 2020, Sam will be Music Vice Captain next year, and will be brilliant in this role.
