Maroondah Youth Awards 2019

The Maroondah Youth Awards is an evening that celebrates and recognises the commitments and achievements of young people aged between 10-25 in Maroondah.

The 2019 Maroondah Youth Awards ceremony will be held at Karralyka Centre on Tuesday the 9th of April from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Every young person who is nominated will receive an award. There is no overall winner, instead we acknowledge the commitment, achievements and resilience of all nominees.

The nomination categories for 2019 are as follows:

  • Leadership – an individual who has shown significant leadership qualities
  • Creativity – an individual for their creativity, skills and contribution through visual arts, performance, media, or another art form
  • Personal journey – an individual who has demonstrated personal growth whilst overcoming challenges in their day-to-day life
  • Group achievement – a group of young people who have worked together to provide a service, program or project that has resulted in positive, youth-led changes in the local community

As part of the 2019 Youth Awards, we would also like to celebrate the unique character strengths present in each nominee. Find out more about character strengths here.
