School Focused Youth Service
The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) provides support to students from grade 5 to year 12 who are attending school, but vulnerable to or showing signs of disengaging from school.
The SFYS works with schools to identify appropriate interventions for students as well as capacity building for staff and families to better support students. The SFYS is funded by The Victorian Department of Education and Training but is able to work with Government, Independent and Catholic schools.
Maroondah Positive Education Network
The Maroondah Positive Education Network (MPEN) aims to use positive education to raise the wellbeing and lift the educational outcomes of students in Maroondah and is funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.
As part of the MPEN, Council has implemented three rounds of the University of Melbourne’s Wellbeing Profiler, which measures the wellbeing of young people across a number of domains.
MPEN partners are committed to using this data to build on the strengths of young people in Maroondah, and provide wellbeing support where necessary.
