Queer Voices: A Walk in their Shoes

Join us in this compelling information session for parents/carers of LGBTIAQ+ or questioning young people.

You will hear the experiences of LGBTIAQ+ young people through live storytelling followed by an invaluable presentation from Jami Jones - Manager for Education and Engagement at Rainbow Health Victoria, part of the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University.

Jami oversees a number of programs and projects focusing on knowledge translation and has played a leading role in development of resources for people who work with LGBTIAQ+ young people including families, government and the youth sector.

This session is ideal for parents, carers and important people in a child or young person's life and will provide tips and guidance on how best to support an LGBTIAQ+ or questioning child or young person.
