Adam

Adam

Adam sits at the head of the Youth Services table and having lived the journey as a Youth Worker for almost two decades now, it’s safe to say he knows his stuff.

Adam is in his element in the great outdoors and is always seeking new adventures and experiences.

He takes his barbecue shapes quite seriously and contributed to the movement to bring back the original recipe shapes.

Having long outgrown his rock star days, Adam now spends his time shaping the lives of his 3 little humans with countless hours of Lego construction, catching bugs and creating UFO’s out of paper plates.

He is a life-long learner and is always seeking innovative ways to get the most out of life.

Adams top strengths are:
  • Creativity
  • Judgement
  • Leadership
  • Prudence
  • Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence
  • Gratitude

Heather

Heather

Heather is like the cogs that make the clock tick in Youth Services. She’s the one that makes sure we are headed in the right direction.

Heather is fond of collecting bits and pieces (usually from Kmart) that may be useful one day. In Heather’s eyes “you’ll never know when you might need some novelty post-it notes!”.

She is a self-described cat lover and as well as rescuing the precious Errol, she has cared for multiple foster cats over the years. She has recently expanded her pet ownership to include her adorable Cocker Spaniel Maggie, who can often be seen modelling dog coats.

Heather's greatest gift is giving to others and she is known for putting other people’s needs before her own – after she has had coffee of course!

She is one of the longest standing members of the team and spreads her knowledge and understanding with passion.

Heather's top strengths are:

  • Judgement
  • Bravery
  • Love
  • Kindness
  • Fairness
Marcus

Marcus

Marcus is an enthusiastic 'yes man' who puts 110% into everything he does.

As a self-confessed geek he enjoys showing off his love of Star Wars through his range of funky socks.

Marcus spends his spare time unleashing his creative side through photography and painting as well as dabbling in model and sculpting kits.

Hardcore music is his preference and he will often take to the drums himself for a bit of fun.

Marcus is a bundle of zest ready to take on the world.

Marcus' top strengths are:

  • Creativity
  • Kindness
  • Humour
  • Zest
  • Curiosity

Mel

Mel

Mel is an energetic go-getter whose drive and determination fuels the strength of the Youth Services team.

She is a keen foodie and has been known to exhibit ‘hangry’ behaviours if she is without food for too long. Broccoli, oranges or nuts will usually do the trick!

Mel spends her weekends completing triathlons, duathlons and marathons – you name it, she’s done it!

Her life is full of adventure and she recounts her stories with the perfect balance of informative comedy.

She will never back down from a challenge and her competitive nature makes her a great ally to have on your side.

Mel's top strengths are:

  • Judgement
  • Perserverence
  • Honesty
  • Social Intelligence
  • Prudence
  • Self Regulation
Rachelle

Rachelle

Rachelle is a donut loving, netball playing barrel of laughs who brings a bucket load of passion to the Youth Services team.

If you don’t find her on the netball court she’ll be somewhere nearby, probably devouring a good book or murder mystery podcast.

Rachelle is all about making change for the better, and works her magic both through supporting young people individually and thinking creatively about new ways for the team to do things.

Her charismatic nature and love of life make her everyone’s mate, and she’s willing to give everything a go (just not foods with weird textures).

Rachelle is Youth Services equality champion, and when it comes to defending the rights of young people, she won’t back down from a fight.

Rachelle's top strengths are:

  • Perspective
  • Bravery
  • Love
  • Kindness
  • Forgiveness
  • Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence

Sarah

Sarah

Sarah provides Youth Services with the perfect balance of fun and friendly mixed with a fierce appetite for fairness and opportunity.

Sarah is an advocate for all things sustainable and works hard to always better herself and the world she lives in.

A perfect weekend for Sarah would involve hanging out with Moos (her anti-social cat), reading Harry Potter to her beautiful daughter, and watching documentaries on Netflix.

She indulges her inner child by taking the time to appreciate Lego, dinosaurs and M&M Yogos.

Sarah’s modesty and willingness to give everything her all has led to her being an inspirational role model within the team.

Sarah's top strengths are:

  • Fairness
  • Leadership
  • Humility
  • Bravery
  • Honesty
